Partying the NASCAR way

Partying the NASCAR way

Worrying about how to turn a sloppy and boring party to an event filled with all the excitement and a hundred percent fun? How would you turn a birthday party into a bash suited for the Race Car Champ in him? Well then, here are some ideas on how to do just that.

Options are endless for whatever reasons you have for a celebration. Arrange something out of the ordinary but with the NASCAR feel. On your mark, get set, bring it on punk.

Start up your engine with an invitation that’s similar to a NASCAR game ticket. Imagine receiving something close to watching a real game. Better yet, a parking violation ticket is a very tricky invitation card.

A whole bunch of NASCAR supplies are readily available with your own choosing. They have a wide array of items, from decorations to banners to racing beverage napkins and a whole lot more.

Decorations can sometimes turn out messy. Do away with the traditional black and white. It is way off the chart and leave the kids stuff behind. Its time to dig into something much appreciated by the kids in all of us. Make your visitors think that they’re in a whole new time zone once they have entered and not just another party. Do it with style. You can put up NASCAR banners and posters. This will let everyone know that a NASCAR party’s being held.

Eventually, seize those official NASCAR items like NASCAR cups, plates, and the like. Growing up never felt this cool. If your son loves Dale Earndhart, please him with freebies that will make his friends go “cool”, I wish I had one.

To be on the right track, use your magic on enhancing your garage and turning it into a racetrack by adding old license plates, trophies, stoplights, flags and traffic signs. These are some of the changes you can make possible. Nothing a touch of love can’t do.

When the charcoals burning and its chow time, let the franks, burgers, fries, pretzels, soda and beer flood your dining table. Oh yes, and as the candles are burning, why not make a cake heavily decorated with a NASCAR car of his choice. Anyone hungry yet?

Finally, to make the celebrators party a day to remember, don’t forget that every kids birthday party, considering young or old, wouldn’t be complete without a NASCAR gift item.

Newbie’s guide to get into a NASCAR race

Newbie’s guide to get into a NASCAR race

Big toys are for the big boys. But when racing is involved, bigger boys demand bigger toys. No matter how much of a fan you are; it’s never too late to dream and be inspired with what they’ve seen on television. When the urge hits you in the head, make a run for it.

Showing off your talents in driving isn’t enough for you to qualify for a NASCAR race. So what if you consider yourself a good driver? Everybody can learn how to step on it. But only a few can show what genuine passion is. You have to have the guts and the ability to prove that you deserve to be in the team of growing racers.

Now if you have conquered your fear of crashing and are now ready to face everyone who wants to be in the same position as you are, buckle up. Before proceeding to a make it or break it career, there are 3 ways to prepare yourself for the upcoming battle:

1. Exercise. Good looks aren’t all that bad but a healthy body will release all the tension and build up the growing power inside you. Racing requires stamina, and stamina means going the extra mile minus the exhaustion. Aside from better circulation, a daily workout will help you stay sharp, alert and focused.

2. Educate yourself. Be informed of the how, what, when, where, why and who. Allow yourself to be curious and adventurous. Increase your knowledge on everything around you. Be literate. Don’t just speak without saying anything at all. Make it a point that people understand what comes out of your mouth. This will be an advantage when you start representing your sponsors and making a victory speech in front of a crowd.

3. Assemble your team. A good crew should have the knowledge on how to fix and install parts of a race car, as well as modify them. A spokesperson isn’t necessary. Anyone can speak in your behalf, even the person next to you. Organize a team who knows the twists and turns and not just the basics. Each crew must possess the skills, ideas, tricks and abilities not just to keep you in the race but to win it.

Chart all the things mentioned above. You’ve got to start somewhere and you’ve got to start somehow. No matter how difficult the path is, what matters is that the spirit of a true warrior flows through your veins.

Nascar History

Nascar History

NASCAR history started with the stock car racing gaining popularity as early as 1936, with the first unofficial & informal race held in 1938. This was then promoted by Bill France Sr. after being asked to do so by the car racers who usually hang out on his service station.

France together with other big names in stock car racing at that time then held a meeting at Streamline Hotel where they contributed ideas on their plans for NASCAR. They were then able to come up with guidelines, which include the schedule of the race, the rules that govern the race, and the prize money involved. A board of governors was formed with Bill France Sr. as the President. A fellow named Red Boyt was the man who coined the name NASCAR (National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing) ? a critical point in NASCAR history.

The very first official NASCAR race was held on February 15, 1948 at Daytona Beach. Red Byron was declared winner of that race. One week later after the event, NASCAR was then incorporated making this major milestone in NASCAR history.

The main thrust then of NASCAR was that it should appeal to the average person, and thus the racers made use of only ?stock? equipment, or cars which were not modified in any way.

The first purely stock event was held in June 1949 in Charlotte, N.C. The rules then required that the racecars should all be American made, and if ever modifications were to be done on the racecars, it was only the metal plate that protected the right front tire that was allowed. There were 33 drivers competing with almost every type of American made car represented in that race.

For this event, over 13,000 people came and watched the race. Their target to make it appealing to the average person succeeded. Glen Dunaway walked out a winner of that race, not until it was found out that a modification was made on his racecar?s rear springs. He was disqualified and Jims Roper was declared the true winner.

The race then evolved to what was then called the Grand National Division, or what is known now as the Winston Cup. On this first year, Red Byron was the overall champion with 9 more races held that year. On the second year, a total of 21 races were scheduled.

NASCAR history had many other milestones along the way. And this we owe mainly to Mr. Bill France Sr. NASCAR racing would not been possible without his guidance and efforts. NASCAR history is indeed very colorful, and a brighter future continues to lie ahead.

NASCAR crib bedding

Even babies can be born adoring NASCAR. Enter one of NASCAR?s zaniest ideas which is the NASCAR crib bedding and you have the youngest racing fan. A bit far fetched? Maybe so, but one thing?s certain, the NASCAR crib bedding is NASCAR?s latest attempt to commercialize at the youngest age possible.

Yet, some of the entries for NASCAR crib bedding are quite lovely. Like for example the NASCAR #3 Dale Earnhardt which sports a vintage feel yet stays true for any top speed fan. While the words ?Intimidator? might be unfitting for a toddler?s common pastel appeal, you can always improvise.

If the Black Intimidator isn?t for your baby, then you can choose this option instead. Another vintage feel, this NASCAR crib bedding illustrates several classic muscle cars on a black background.

Both NASCAR crib bedding entries above cost $44.85 at Swedish Baby Quilts. Fitted NASCAR crib bedding sheets also makes fine compliment to a baby?s linen, because the have extra large pockets and an elastic band all around for safety. Just like this #18 NASCAR Race Car crib bedding. At $48, it?s comparatively higher than the previous entries. This NASCAR crib bedding has fabric that is 100% cotton, allowing washes made with cold water and dried on a low setting.

Acually, it5 is a 4 piece toddler bed set, consisting of a 42? x 57? quilted bedspread, a fitted bottom sheet, a top sheet and a pillowcase. The Bedspread is noticeably NASCAR, with fabrics that should be appealing to the toddler?s sensitive skin. The set costs $48.50. Check it out here:

Throw blankets do also make excellent NASCAR crib bedding. In fact, some designs make them perfect settings for male tot. like the NASCAR Throw Blanket at NexTag (www.nextag.com) which sports the official NASCAR Racing print in a blue background. It only costs $33.99.

Another idea is the Goodwrench Pro Shop?NASCAR Rachel Blanket at Babyuniverse.com. at $54.99, the slightly higher price pays off with the softest fabrics with brightest print, having extra warmth and smoothness.
