Newbie’s guide to get into a NASCAR race

Newbie’s guide to get into a NASCAR race

Big toys are for the big boys. But when racing is involved, bigger boys demand bigger toys. No matter how much of a fan you are; it’s never too late to dream and be inspired with what they’ve seen on television. When the urge hits you in the head, make a run for it.

Showing off your talents in driving isn’t enough for you to qualify for a NASCAR race. So what if you consider yourself a good driver? Everybody can learn how to step on it. But only a few can show what genuine passion is. You have to have the guts and the ability to prove that you deserve to be in the team of growing racers.

Now if you have conquered your fear of crashing and are now ready to face everyone who wants to be in the same position as you are, buckle up. Before proceeding to a make it or break it career, there are 3 ways to prepare yourself for the upcoming battle:

1. Exercise. Good looks aren’t all that bad but a healthy body will release all the tension and build up the growing power inside you. Racing requires stamina, and stamina means going the extra mile minus the exhaustion. Aside from better circulation, a daily workout will help you stay sharp, alert and focused.

2. Educate yourself. Be informed of the how, what, when, where, why and who. Allow yourself to be curious and adventurous. Increase your knowledge on everything around you. Be literate. Don’t just speak without saying anything at all. Make it a point that people understand what comes out of your mouth. This will be an advantage when you start representing your sponsors and making a victory speech in front of a crowd.

3. Assemble your team. A good crew should have the knowledge on how to fix and install parts of a race car, as well as modify them. A spokesperson isn’t necessary. Anyone can speak in your behalf, even the person next to you. Organize a team who knows the twists and turns and not just the basics. Each crew must possess the skills, ideas, tricks and abilities not just to keep you in the race but to win it.

Chart all the things mentioned above. You’ve got to start somewhere and you’ve got to start somehow. No matter how difficult the path is, what matters is that the spirit of a true warrior flows through your veins.
