Yes they are it’s called “bump drafting” it happens when one driver gets behind another and picks up speed. The driver that is pushing is going faster and transfers that speed to the driver in front allowing both drivers to pass others and get a huge run

That could have been a piece of the fence, plus there’s a rule that says: the bulk of the car must be in tact with the driver inside at the finish line, pieces of a car don’t count. But your comment was cool…lol
